Nothing says lovin like a batch of rice krispy treats, or in this case cocoa krispy treats! My little helper and I whipped up a batch on Saturday after we got home from swimming lessons. Christian had his very first swimming lesson on his own (not a mommy & me class) on Saturday and I wasn't quite sure how he'd handle it but he had a fantastic time. I've actually got some great video snippets of him swimming but unfortunately I kept getting error messages when I tried to upload them. If I can figure out the problem I'll post them at a later date.
He was a great helper counting out the cups of krispies and the marshmallows but I think eating the marshmallows was his very favorite part!!! The melted marshmallows looked, in his own words, "disgusting". I guess they are gooey and slimey looking but the end products was delicious. We sent half the batch on the road with Shane and his dad for their trip to Ocean City to close down the beach house for the season.
If you stop by let me know! Leave me a comment or just say hello.
About Us I'm a very happily married, working mom of one. My husband Shane is a software engineer and we've been married for seven years. Our son Christian is four (and a half if you ask him) years old and of course, our pride and joy. I manage a political action committee for a trade association and have been working at the same place for almost 14 years. My husband Shane and I met 10 years ago at a Halloween party, dated for 3 years and got married in 2000. We live in Springfield, Virginia.
About Christian Our son Christian was born in March 2003 and has been the center of our universe ever since. He is a bright, articulate, funny, and strong-willed little boy who amazes us daily and brings us more joy than we ever thought possible.
About Gordon We also have a fourth furry member of the family, our cat Gordon. I often refer to him as quite possibly the world's best house cat. He's 12 years old, fat, lazy and lovable.

OMG I love the chef hat. That is too cute! And the kiss the cook picture is so sweet. Cocoa krispies sound really good. Yummy.
