We're reinstituting the responsibility/reward chart at our house again. We used one once quite a while ago with success and we're hoping it will work again. The morning routine has really become a problem for us and I'm going crazy having to ask Christian ten times to go brush his teeth!
I'll tell him it's time to get dressed so off he'll go to his room and when I go check on him ten minutes later I find him sitting on the floor in his underwear looking through a book!!! I tell you, it's driving me mad! So, starting tomorrow morning the chart will be back on the wall and not only will there be rewards, there will also be consequences! If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears!

I love your reward chart that you posted! That looks great. Yes, we had one a while back that was working quite well. I slowly stopped using it and am kicking myself for it now. I have the same problem with Lenny about getting dressed in the morning. He now tells me that when he turns 5 he will get dressed by himself.
My problem is that he sees Brooke and Nathan doing something so he thinks that he can do it too even though he knows not too. Geesh!
Let us know how it goes tomorrow morning.
Better this morning. We decided that his reward would be getting extra swimming time at the pool on Saturdays after his lesson. No morning cooperation, no play time at the pool!
Oh I am not a mom but I am sure that you will find something to make it work. Sounds like he can get easily distracted, huh :)
Good luck!
We use one. I tape it to the side door, so it's the last thing he sees before we leave.
The biggest help was no TV in the morning. And now that Autry can read, All I have to say is "How's your list?" Granted, there are days where I have to say it more than once, but at least I don't have to go through everything over an over again! It's been a wonderful too! Go for the charts!
